Cornucopia Camp

Cornucopia Camp is located at Summit Point Trailhead and Fire Lookout out of Halfway, OR 97834.  Approach begins with 4-mile snomo tow-in up Carson grade (3540ft).  Transition at McBride campground (4750ft) and skin 3-miles 1700 ft elevation gain to Summit trailhead huts (6500ft).  Camp Coordinates 44.97647, -117.23905.

Summit Point camp includes 1 sleep cabin with 2-lofts 4-cots and pads and one kitchen cabin with 2-lofts and 2 roll out cots. Best view al fresca outhouse barrel( solids only no pee), snowmelt water, and new sauna shack.

Awesome Below Tree Line mature glades east, west, north off ridge connecting to Cornucopia mastiff (Cliff River Trail 1885).   Skiers approach via Summit Creek following 060 to 100 spur.  (CalTopo)

  • Weekender: 4-day/3-night, Friday-Monday, $2500 for up to 8
  • Midweeeker:5-day/4-night, Monday-Friday $3000 for up to 8
• 50% Deposit Confirms Reservation
• Balance due November 1 OR Forfeit Reservation

• Day of departure 0730 Trip Briefing.  Initial 4-mile snomo tow included to McBride campground. Return shuss out budget 1 hour from camp to car.
• $5/lb Porter Service roundtrip starts at McBride campgound(or shoulder the load) and returns to car
